Born in 1960, in Zhaoxian, Hebei province.

In 1986, he graduated from the oil painting professional department of Hebei Normal University, and had previously been outside of his home-town as a soldier.

He graduated from the 5th Annual further study Oil Painting class of the Central Academy of Fine Art in 1991. He is currently an associate professor of Art in Baoding Teachers College.

Since 1991, he has been to Yunnan-Guizhou, Sichuan, Xinjiang to get inspiration and to gain comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture for his art.

Respectively in 1993, 1995 and 1998 he organized exhibitions in the National Chinese Art Museum, and exhibited over 30 of his works. Meanwhile, many of his works also participated in the various national exhibition.

In 1998 a program of CCTV specially featured the artists and his work. His oil paintings are collected by the German Oriental Art Museum, and private collectors in the United States, South Korea and Hong Kong.
