1933 Born in Tianjin.
1949 Joined the Chinese Peoples’ Liberation Army, then worked for stage craft department of PLA Military and Political University.
1954 Further his art studies in the Soviet’s art course, many artworks were awarded.
1956 Worked as art officer in political department of Guangzhou People's Liberation Army.
1964 Light Cavalry at the South China Sea received Prize of Excellence in the “PLA Military Art Exhibition”.
1966 Sent to the labor camps under the Guangzhou Military Region during the Cultural Revolution.
1976 Retired from the military service and returned to Tianjin. Created painting The first Military Conference and collected by the China People’s Revolution Military Museum.
1980 Dawn was selected in the “Celebrating the 60th Anniversary for Foundation of Communist Party Art Exhibition”.
1985 honoured as national first grade artist and professor.
