Born in Macao in 1949, moved to Hong Kong at the age of three.
Education
1968 Teacher’s Certificate, Northcote College of Education, Hong Kong.
1972 Art Specialist’s Certificate, Grantham College of Education, Hong Kong.
1980 Post-Grad. Diploma in Art Education, London University.
1983 Master of Science degree in Education (Administration and supervision with Visual Arts Focus) Bank Street College of Education/Parsons School of Design, New York.
Professional teaching experience
1979-1992 Taught in Hong Kong Polytechnic, and then promoted to Senior Lecturer.
1992-2000 Coordinator, Director and then Chair Professor of Higher School of Arts, Macao Polytechnic.
2003- Director, Macau Caritas Brito Theatre, Head, Adult Education Department, Macau Caritas.
2003- Visiting Professor, Macau Millennium College.
2004- Guest Assessor, MA Work-based Program in Hong Kong, Middlesex University.
2005- Guest School Assessor on the teaching of Art, Macau Government.
Works exhibited worldwide and collected in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and overseas.
Specialized in mural painting, large drawing, large drawing since 1973, and ceramics design since 2003.
Community involvement
Ex-Advisor to Hong Kong Leisure and Culture Department in Museum Affairs since 1992.
Founding Member of the Hong Kong Visual Arts Society since 1973.
Founding Member and Chairman of Supervisory Committee of the Modern Ceramists Association of Macau since 2003.
Founding Member and Secretary to its Supervisory Committee of Macau Digital Photography Association since 2003.
