In 1991, Liu Gang graduated from the Oil Painting Department IV Studio of Central Academy of Fine Arts. Selected artworks and exhibitions include Sign, exhibited in the 7th National Arts Exhibition” (1989), Same Direction exhibited in the “French Autumn Salon” (1991). Two Different Ways participated in the 1st “China Oil Painting Exhibition”, Metal in Rows exhibited in the “China Oil Painting Biennale”.(1993) in which awarded the gold medal, and Vestige exhibited in the 3rd “Annual China Oil Painting Exhibition” (1995).
