Born in 1950 in Hebei province. In 1980, Zhang graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. Currently, he is a member of China Artists Association – Tianjin Branch and China Oil Painting Society. His artworks have been awarded in many local and national art exhibitions.

1994 Twilight was selected the 8th “National Artworks Exhibition”, received honorable award in “45th Anniversary Celebration of the founding of PRC - Tianjin Art Exhibition”.
2000 1st “Invitation Exhibition at Beijing East Gallery” (Beijing).
2003 Winter Scenery was selected in “Embracing the New Century – the 3rd China National Exhibition of Oil Paintings”.
2008 Memory in Chiangnan participated “Inheritance and Speculation - Realism Art Exhibition”.
2009 September Q Homeland received bronze prize in the 11th “Art Exhibition of Tianjian”.
2010 “Light Q Rhyme – Zhang Xiaofan Solo Oil Paintings Exhibition” (Tianjian).
