Q1: What is Giclee Art Prints?
A: Giclee art prints are high quality fine art reproduction. Giclee is French, which means spray. The term serves well to describe the spraying technology used in the process of reproduction. The high-end technology of 3D image scanning and micro-spray enables the essence of the original work to be accurately captured.
Q2: Why are the Giclee Art Prints in our gallery special?
A: Our Giclee art prints are made by Artron Enterprises (Group) Limited. Baoqu Tang Gallery of Art is honored to be its sole agent in Hong Kong. Artron’s Giclee art prints have the following characteristics,
- Copyright authorization granted by museums
Artron collaborates with museums and cultural organisation in China and overseas, and gains full authorization of the reproduction.
- Advanced technological support
Artron employs CRUSE, high resolution in 380-430 million pixels 3D image scanning system to capture the color and texture of every artwork. The output technology employed is Giclee+, which meets the standard of national collection. Dots are invisible even with the works magnified for ten times.
- Specially developed material
The material of our Giclee art prints is finely selected and produced, based on the material of the original artwork. In order to get the tone right, all of the materials are specially developed by Artron. The prints are not only identical to the original works, but also waterproof and resistant to sunlight.
- Color management
Artron invented “ACMS Giclee color management system”, which digitalizes the whole process of color editing. In order to capture and simulate the texture and mood of the original oil paintings, Artron has employed professional artists to furnish the work with strokes and layering.
Q3: What is the difference between Giclee art prints and other prints?
A: Usually only four colors are used in ordinary prints. The material is usually papers, which are not durable and insufficient for creating texture. Giclee art prints are made with an array of spraying materials of eight colors, which greatly improves the layering and tonality of the works. Giclee micro-spray technology and the specially developed materials protect the works from humidity, sunlight and ozone, and ensure durability more than 80 years.
Q4: How is the value of collecting Giclee art prints?
A: Giclee art prints are actually internationally recognized as a form of collection. It is a tradition for museums and private collectors to collect reproductions of the admired works. Reproductions are common as a form of investment and are frequently auctioned. Q7: What if the desired paintings have no stock available / sold out?
A: If your desired paintings have no stock available, we have to re-order from the supplier. Delivery should be approximately 7 working days after your order confirmed. Please be acknowledged that museums have granted right for Artron to print only a limited volume, which means it would not be possible to take order when the quota is finished. We sincerely apologize if it happens. Please seize the opportunity to purchase if you are genuinely touched by the works.
Q8: Why the prices of the paintings are so diverse even though the sizes are similar?
A: It is because every painting bears its own cost of copyright from different museums and organizations, so the prices are diverse. If you have enquiry about the price, please kindly email to administration@baoqutang.com.
Q9: Is there any discount?
A: As the price of our Giclee art prints depend on the copyright fee and the production process, they are sold at fixed prices. However, we do offer free delivery for Hong Kong customers who make a purchase of $20,000.

Q10: Can I pay by installments?
A: There is no installments plan for Baoqu Tang E-gallery yet. For HSBC credit card users, they can enjoy installments of 6 or 12 months if they purchase the items in the gallery shop located in Fo Tan.
